A funny thought popped into my head yesty
Of a paradox, yes a paradox!
Which got me thinking thusly:
The nature of reality… what could it be?
The Greens far left, so far left, so far out of the box
I always voted for their sustainability
Yet here we are now facing fuel rationing daily
Not something the Greens could ever have achieved
Forcing everyone to understand the futility
Of buying huge American trucks with V8s
Of voting for politicians who spend no money on public transport
Of walking but only to the door of the car
The Greens support those who turned off the oil
Labour supports those who turn off democracy
The Coalition supports those who… oh that’s right: they’d be gone if not for Labour
Being fully in support of removing nukes from homicidal maniacs
Being fully in support of sustainability and democracy
Being fully in support of national independence
We now have to prioritise daily
Every dollar we spend
And understand how to avoid penury
So geopolitics have changed our lives thusly:
Watching our leaders line their pockets from ours
As we engage in the evolution of ‘sustainability’.
A D R A N
