The you that puts on the armour
And helps everyone

Coz it’s just a tool
The amour is just a tool you use
not you

I need to tell you about me
You might feel vulnerable
Afraid
But you might enjoy
True authentic love
from me

So I don’t need any solutions
I’m about to tell you what mine are
I need to tell you about me
Do you want to get to know me?
Get to know yourself?
I do

I’ve been taking care of myself
Since I was a kid
Dodging this and hit by that
And since you rescued me
I’m wrong-footed every day
unsure

It’s like being punched in the head
Conflict of who I know myself as
Confront my identity
Don’t know who or what I see
I’m me

Reality changed when I ended family
And changed again
Putting down my burden
A lifetime of instincts and survival
Don’t fit here
I’m free

Men usually fix with a goal
And forge ahead
And lose connection with themselves
Women usually fix with introspection
Focussing inward
you?

Still don’t know if I should sweep up the ashes
Make repairs and rearrange what’s left behind
Probably get in some new cloth
Start weaving a new tapestry
coalesce

My solution is to sit
Let my self regain resolution
I sense new options tugging about me
A chrysalis is me
Internal and external
soon

To find what’s mine
