It’s white
Hot white
Usually hard yet powdery
I put one in my mouth.
Feel the sharpness prickle:
Don’t chew!
Let it linger
On my tongue
Saliva dissolves it slowly…
Hot!
Hot!
Hot!
I cannot
resist
a little nibble.
Just
at
the edge…
It shatters!
I try not to drool
Teethy succulence.
Freshness flies through my sinuses
My mouth happy and free
My tongue searches for morsels,
For another one.
